A FOUL-MOUTHED racist was caught on camera abusing a taxi driver in New Zealand, telling the Pakistan-born man to go to where he came from and refusing to pay his fare.
Driver Tariq Humayun remained calm and polite throughout the ordeal which began after he picked the man up just after midnight in the town of Invercargil.
“I’ll pay you your $7 when you tell me that you’ll piss off back to the country where you come from,” the man said, who is white, middle-aged and with greying hair: “You shouldn’t be in New Zealand in the first place … We don’t require your Muslim bullshit in this country.”
The man went on to tell Mr Humayun to “f*** off back to where you come from”.
According to the New Zealand Herald, Mr Humayun came to New Zealand from Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2002, working in IT, security and driving taxis despite having a masters degree in economics.
He is a New Zealand citizen and is married with a daughter, 7, and son, 5.
He said: “I’m feeling very disheartened and upset. It was a bit shocking. I came here for a better future.”
He told the Herald that this wasn’t the first racist abuse he had suffered driving cabs and that whilst living in Auckland he’d been robbed by three passengers.
“There are a lot of good people, but there are some nasty people who abuse me because I’m from some other country.”
